Brief Synopsis: The Cheshire Cat appeared in Disney's “Alice in Wonderland“. Alice meets him, or a more better term ‘it’, first at the intersection between ‘The Mad Hatters‘ and ‘The Hare’s house, where he had, somewhat, introduced himself to her. They then later meet on and off while Alice is visiting with the ‘Queen of Hearts‘. It also does appear to cheer her up when it, or he, appears at the Queen of Hearts’ croquet field. When seen, he, or it, is sentenced to death, and he is chased by cards, though he quickly disappears. Leaving its head remaining visible. This act, somehow helped in sparking a massive argument between the executioner, the King, and Queen of Hearts, about whether or not something that does not have a body can indeed be beheaded.
At one point, the cat, while still being argued over, starts to disappear until nothing is left but its grin. This small action seemed to cause Alice to remark that she had ‘often seen a cat without a grin, but never a grin without a cat.’ This little show that the cat had put on caused it to be very famous among the people.
